Day 01: Dibrugarh:
Arrive at Dibrugarh via air/rail. You will be assisted on arrival and transferred to your hotel/homestay. Stay overnight.
Day 02 Dibrugarh– Sivasagar– Jorhat:
Morning after breakfast visit the Heritage Tea Bungalow besides lush green tea gardens. Sip a cup of organic tea as you breath in the fresh air filled with the Aroma of tea leaves. Then proceed for Sivasagar, the erstwhile capital of Assam & Ahom rulers, who came from Thailand through Northern Myanmar during the 12th century & established the Ahom Kingdom that ruled a large part of Assam for six centuries. Visit the Rang-Ghar (Asia’s oldest amphitheater), Talatal-Ghar Fort, Kareng Ghar Royal Palace and Siva Dol – the tallest Siva temple in the world at Sivasagar. Continue your drive to Jorhat. On arrival Jorhat check in at hotel/homestay/bungalow.

Day 03: Jorhat– Nimatighat - Majuli
Post breakfast drive to Nimatighat from where we shall cross the mighty Brahmaputra river in a luxuriously cruising ferry.
After about a 2 hour of ferry ride reach Majuli- World’s largest river island– a World Heritage Site, the cultural capital of Assam. Majuli has long served as a monastic retreat for the Vaishnavite community and is noted for its beautiful rural setting and the traditional Assamese and Mishing tribal lifestyle and hospitality. On arrival, you will be transferred by road to a hotel. Retreat at the hotel.
Post lunch explore Assamese and Mishing Villages. – a typical Mishing home is built on stilts with a ‘long house’ style of design, Enjoy the view of locals weaving their traditional attire.
In the evening, explore the Vaishnavite culture of Assam as you witness Bhaona (play based on the fables of Ramayana and Mahabharata) scripted by the great Vaishnavite Saint Srimanta Sankardeva in the 15th Century. Overnight at Majuli. (Optional/Add on)
Day 04: In Majuli-Nimatighat-Kaziranga.
Post breakfast visit the monasteries set up in the 15th – 16th Century by the great Vaishnavite Saint, Srimanta Sankardeva. In the monasteries you will be given an orientation tour of the monastic cells and the temples. These monasteries, locally called Satras are active and nurture the traditional dance form ‘Sattriya’ along with traditional form of music, mask making etc. Post lunch, depart for Kamalabari ghat, where a ferry ride will take you back to Nimatighat, wherefrom we shall resume our onward journey to Kaziranga National Park. Kaziranga is about 3 hours ride from Nimatighat.
Day 05: Kaziranga:
Kaziranga National Park is a World Heritage Site famous for its abundant population of the one horned rhinos. The National Park is also home to Royal Bengal Tigers, Asiatic Elephant, Wild Buffalo among various other species of flora and fauna. Kaziranga is also a Birding paradise. Early Morning, ride an Elephant to explore the depths of the forest.
Return to the resort for breakfast. Post breakfast, go for morning jeep safari. Post lunch you may enjoy another jeep safari in the afternoon in the western range. And then travel to Kaziranga National Orchid and Biodiversity Park that houses more than 600 varieties of rare wild orchids from different locations of North East India. Also enjoy a cultural evening at the Orchid Park where folk dance and music of various tribes of North East are being showcased. You can also exlore the museums where you can witness a collection of hertage, cultural artefacts of Assam including clothes, utensils, weapons, etc.
Overnight stay in, Kaziranga.
Day 06: Kaziranga- Nameri:
Morning start drive to Nameri Eco Camp. Nameri is a Tiger Reserve On arrival check into the Eco Camp. Overnight at Nameri National Park.
Day 07: Nameri:
Early morning proceed for a jungle walk. A jungle walk can be done along with an armed guard (mandatory as per government regulations) who can also second as a guide. The walk is for approximately 3 hr, which include walking on the banks of Jia Bhoroli, crossing the river on boat, and then completing a circuit inside the jungle.
You may also opt for rafting on the quiet and serene Jia Bhoroli river. You can also combine your rafting with a picnic (duration 4-5 hr in this case) on the banks of Jia Bhoroli.
Day 08: Nameri– Guwahati
After your wildlife experience you drive to Guwahati. On arrival at Guwahati you will be transferred in time to the airport to board your flight for your onward journey.
